The beginning and evolution of the RenWare vision

It began with a vision to create a computer-based company that people would love to work for. The goal was to hire smart people and get out of their way by allowing their intellect and creativity to help drive products. We accomplished the goal of hiring smart people and allowed them to do what they did best and that resulted in becoming a premier consulting firm in the Configuration and Change Management sector of IT.

However, the original vision of product development was never lost and the time has come for RenWare to emerge and pivot to its planned roots and create products that make life easier for the administrators of the world. While our revenue has been driven by Atlassian consulting for 20+ years, it is time for a new chapter to begin. Our smart people combined with our product vision and AI infusion dictate a significant pivot back to our roots. We will take our collective wisdom and experience to prepare for coming transformation in the world.

1998

In the beginning

One man, one vision

It all started in the mind of RenWare's CEO. After making millions for several companies as an employee, he decided it was time to get more fruits of his labor. With his hard working, firm, but fair philosophy, he launched RenWare, LLC. and began hiring smart people that shared his vision. There was only one issue, our fearless leader could not escape his Configuration/Change Management past and clients lined up and knocked down the door to work with RenWare. Being the #1 revenue stream, RenWare adopted this into its core business. We still created products, but it was secondary as the lights needed to stay on and we had bills to pay.

2002

Introducing Atlassian

New kids on the block

RenWare was a partner with several Configuration/Change Management vendors and offered consulting services in this area as well as Build/Release Management. Vendors began over charging so the world pivoted to Open Source products. Discovering Open Source was not enterprise-ready, RenWare consultants were asked to find a vendor that offered reasonable pricing and scalability. Two months after Atlassian hit the scene with Jira, RenWare adopted the product and we've been along for the ride since and have been able to watch Atlassian grow from startup into a billion dollar organization.

2012

The Remote Model

In 2010, RenWare attempted to implement the remote business model (with mild success). Clients were not ready for the new world our CEO saw coming. For 2 years, we worked in a hybrid model with our clients until one day in 2012, our CEO said we were going 100% remote and not to worry about any client fallout. At the time this was a very bold decision, but our leader is always forward-thinking and when COVID impacted business around the world, RenWare was not and neither were our clients. We have the best work-life balance thanks to this bold decision that was made long before it was cool and accepted by large organizations to work remote..

2024

The Major Pivot

It's the time again

Throughout the years, RenWare has had several smaller pivots and a couple of significant ones. We cannot stop change and our leader is always looking towards the future, which is how RenWare has been around so long. This year we are happy to announce that product development will finally become the primary revenue source and we will start our journey with AI. Currently, RenWare is operated by AI at 87%, but the goal is to be 100% AI operated. Freeing up RenWare's smart people to evolve and adapt in new ways before AI goes commercial--our fearless leader says it's still in hobby mode, but the clock is ticking. Join us on this new journey.
